Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning
Universal Life Energy, an energy which is all around us.
A Reiki
Treatment
There is
no belief system attached to Reiki so anyone can receive or learn to
give a Reiki treatment, the only prerequisite is the desire to be
healed.
The
method of receiving a Reiki treatment is a very simple process. You
simply lie down on a couch and relax. If you’re unable to lie down the
treatment can be given in a sitting position. The main thing is that you
become as comfortable as possible. There is no need to remove any
clothing as Reiki will pass through anything, even plaster casts. The
hands are gently placed non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which
cover the whole body.
The whole
person is treated rather than specific symptoms. Your treatment with me
can be 30 minutes or 60 minutes with each position held for several
minutes.
It’s
possible to heal at all levels of being: physical, mental, emotional and
spiritual. Acute injuries can be helped to heal very quickly but more
chronic illness takes longer. In some cases such as terminal illness,
there is not enough time for the progress of the disease to be reversed.
However, in such cases there is usually great benefit and enhancement of
the quality of life giving a sense of peace and acceptance during the
remaining time.
Reiki healing can be given anywhere at any time as no
special equipment is needed.
I have provided Reiki treatments for people with a wide
range of illnesses and problems, including: stress, depression, skin
disorders, bereavement, back pain, ME, arthritis, neuralgia, sports
injuries, broken bones, sciatica, spondylitis, nerve damage, cancer- the
list is endless.
Reiki feels wonderful;
Reiki
energy flows from the healer’s hands to the areas of need, soothing
pain, balancing the energy and boosting the body's natural ability to
heal itself. Reiki supports all forms of treatment both orthodox and
complementary. Reiki is extremely enjoyable and relaxing and promotes a
feeling of balance.
During a
session the receiver may feel a variety of sensations. Commonly warmth,
lightness or gentle pressure and a tingling sensation as the energy
balances.
Reiki
feels wonderful, and after the session people feel recharged, relaxed,
empowered, balanced and centred.
The healing continues in the body long after the session
is over, often times for many days.
It’s always better for you to come to me, because you’re
guaranteed to be undisturbed, but I can come to you.
Reiki should never be used as an alternative for
qualified medical advice, treatments or surgery. A complete cure can
never be guaranteed with any form of medical treatment or healing
method, but Reiki treatments always help whether in a physical way or an
emotional way. In some cases a physical problem will be caused by an
emotional trauma and once that is healed the physical pain dissipates
also.
